Precast concrete paving slabs are designed to make precast paving of promenade areas and local vehicle driveways with maximum permitted speed of no more than 10 km/h.
The slabs may be used in artificial footing with total thickness of no less than 0,6 m, made of gravel and gravel sands, coarse or medium, with an angle of internal friction no less than 38 degrees and deformation modulus no less than 40 MPa. The artificial footing should be based on natural foundation made of clayey or sandy soils with stress-strain modulus of no less than 15 MPa at the engineering geological unit thickness no less than 1, 2 m. The slab is designed as elastic foundation structure and bears the following operational loads: gravity load, pedestrian, transport loads with maximum axle load of 8 tons. The slabs are designed to be used in the conditions when ice-melting chemicals application is prohibited, thus snow is removed manually or mechanically.
Slab mounting structure implies connection of laid slabs to each other, by anchoring and joint grouting of operative loop connecting rods at the corners of the slabs. The loop connecting rods are also used to mount the slabs. The slab may be sawn to put it at the designated site, provided that the placement point dimensions do not correspond to the dimensions of the slab.
After fabrication the front surface of the slabs should be grinded and should comply with the requirements established for category А2 according to GOST 13015.
Description: the slabs are designed with untensioned bar reinforcement of ribbed steel, grade А-III (А400), armoured with grids and frames made of hot-rolled reinforcing ribbed steel grade А-III (А400) according to GOST 5781, with loop connecting rods of rod-shaped hot-rolled plain reinforcement steel grade А-I (А240) and are made of heavyweight concrete in compliance with the requirements of GOST 26633, grade В25 (М350), frost resistance grade F200, water resistance grade W4.
